Program Description

BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics (HND) program at the School of Allied Health Sciences, Multan University of Science and Technology, is an undergraduate degree program focused on the study of human nutrition, dietetics, and their applications in promoting health and preventing disease. The program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the science of nutrition, dietary assessment, nutritional counseling, and the role of nutrition in maintaining optimal health and well-being.

Program Objectives

Principles of Human Nutrition

To provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of human nutrition, including macro and micronutrients, nutrient metabolism, and dietary requirements.

Nutritional Status

To develop competency in assessing individuals’ nutritional status, dietary intake, and health needs.>

Manage Nutritional Disorders

To train students in the development and implementation of evidence-based nutrition interventions and dietary plans to promote health, prevent disease, and manage nutritional disorders.

Effective Nutrition Counseling

To foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills necessary for effective nutrition counseling and education.
